Rajouri (J&K), May 18, 2025 (ANI): Life in the border areas of Rajouri is slowly returning to normal after recent shelling incidents. An 85-year-old resident from Border areas expressed his longing for peace, stating that he has never witnessed such intense conflict in his lifetime, referencing past conflicts in 1947, 1965, and 1971. Despite the challenges, some markets in the border areas have started reopening, with a few shops operational. However, fear still lingers among residents due to the tension on Borders. The roads and highways are gradually being restored but work remains affected as laborers from other states left the area during the shelling. Residents are eager for peace and stability to return, allowing them to resume their daily lives without fear. The situation remains fragile, with ongoing efforts to restore normalcy and ensure the safety of the local population.
