Gujarat Titans defeated Delhi Capitals by ten wickets in IPL 2025 at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi on May 18. Gujarat Titans won the toss and opted to bowl first. Delhi Capitals got off to a slow start and Faf du Plessis (5) lost his wicket to Arshad Khan. KL Rahul consolidated at one end and continued to accumulate runs. Abishek Porel (30) and Axar Patel (25) stitched partnerships with him. Rahul (112*) accelerated towards the end and with support from Tristan Stubbs (21*), completed his century and took Capitals to a competitive 199/3. Sai Kishore and Prasidh Krishna were the other two wicket takers. Chasing it, Sai Sudharsan (108*) and Shubman Gill (93*) were in control from the start and never looked in trouble. Delhi Capitals captain Axar Patel tried all his weapons, but nothing could breach their partnership. They kept the chase in control and Sudharsan scored the century in the end while Gill remained unbeaten on 93. The duo powered Titans comfortably over the winning line. This is the ninth victory for Gujarat Titans in IPL 2025 and fifth loss for Delhi Capitals. With this win, Gujarat Titans qualifed for IPL 2025 play-offs.
