From Monday morning through Wednesday evening, rounds of moderate to heavy rain will track across the central U.S., stretching from the central Plains into the Midwest and Ohio Valley. The heaviest rain is expected from Nebraska and Kansas into Missouri and southern Illinois, with additional rain spreading northeastward into parts of the Great Lakes and Mid-Atlantic by midweek. Saturated ground and repeated rounds of storms could lead to flash flooding in some areas, especially across Arkansas, Missouri, and portions of Kentucky.
