Germain TASSEMBEDO has been farming a 3.5-hectare field in Koubri (Burkina Faso) for 26 years, producing cabbage, chillies, maize and, more recently, wheat.
As head of the Teeltaba cooperative, it was through a friend that he discovered the Support programme for the promotion of agricultural entrepreneurship, Phase 2 (PAPEA-2). This programme has enabled him and the members of his cooperative to take part in a number of training courses, and to obtain support in accessing finance through a bank loan.
Thanks to PAPEA-2, Germain TASSEMBEDO has been able to improve his agricultural yields, strengthen the organisation within the cooperative, and seize new opportunities.
