Palace announces some changes in Cabinet
Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin on May 23, 2025 announces some of the changes in President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.'s Cabinet after he directed the incumbent secretaries to submit their courtesy resignations the day before. Energy Secretary Raphael Lotilla will move to the Department of Natural Resources and Environment (DENR), replacing Maria Antonia Yulo-Loyzaga; Energy Undersecretary Sharon Garin will serve as officer-in-charge at the Department of Energy. Foreign Affairs Secretary Enrique Manalo will replace Permanent Representative of the Philippines to the UN Antonio Lagdameo, who will retire effective July 31. Foreign Affairs Undersecretary Ma. Theresa Lazaro will lead the Department of Foreign Affairs beginning July 31, 2025. Housing czar Jerry Acuzar was named presidential adviser for Pasig River development with the rank of Secretary. Housing Undersecretary Jose Ramon Aliling will replace Acuzar.
