Ujjain (MP), May 23, 2025 (ANI): District administration carried out a demolition drive to remove illegal encroachments amid tight security in Begum Bagh locality in Ujjain on May 23. “About one and a half years ago, Ujjain Development Authority had identified 28-30 such properties where lease conditions were violated... After the lease was cancelled, the property came under the control of Ujjain Development Authority... The court lifted the stay and now action is being taken accordingly... The land was being used for commercial purposes...,” said Sandeep Soni. “The Ujjain Development Authority identified two houses for encroachment. Adequate security has been deployed to ensure peace in the area,” said Nitesh Bhargav.
