New Delhi, May 24, 2025 (ANI): Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu on Prime Minister Narendra Modi chairs 10th Niti Aayog Governing Council meeting, ‘Viksit Rajya for Viksit Bharat 2047’ said that he demanded ban of import of apples from Turkey and Azerbaijan. He added that he also demanded from the Prime Minister for the extension of Kangra Airport. The Prime Minister has listened to all our demands carefully. He said, “I demanded PM Modi to ban import of apples from Turkey and Azerbaijan… After the meeting of Niti Aayog, I had sought time from the Prime Minister and I met the Prime Minister. I have demanded from the Prime Minister that the apple producers of Himachal Pradesh are suffering due to import of apples from outside, hence I have demanded from Modi Ji to impose a ban on everything coming from Turkey and Azerbaijan. The Prime Minister has said that before the coming crop, we will try to ensure that the farmers of Himachal do not suffer any losses. Himachal Pradesh government will bear 50% of the expenses and we have demanded from the Prime Minister for the extension of Kangra Airport…” Further on SP's statement in Vimal Negi murder case, Chief Minister said, I will go to Shimla and assess the situation I don't have any information about this right now.
