New Delhi, May 26, 2025 (ANI): Speaking on the launch of Bharat Forecast System, IMD Director General Mrutyunjay Mohapatra on May 26 said that this system is a unique and indigenous system. “Today, Dr Jitendra Singh has dedicated the country a state-of-the-art modelling system, Bharat Forecast System. This is a unique and our indigenous system. Scientists from the Indian Institute of Tropical Meteorology, National Centre for Forecasting, and IMD have developed it. Its goal is to make our weather forecasting services more accessible to people...,” said Mrutyunjay Mohapatra.
