They lost momentum after Marco Jansen (2/34) dismissed Ryan Rickelton (27) and Harpreet Brar dismissed Rohit Sharma (20). Suryakumar Yadav (57) stayed at one end, but wickets kept tumbling at the other end. Cameos from Hardik Pandya (26) and Naman Dhir (20) helped Mumbai Indians score a competitive total of 184/7. Chasing it, Punjab Kings were in control. Despite Prabhsimran Singh (13) being dismissed by Jasprit Bumrah, Josh Inglis (73) and Priyansh Arya (62) dominated the chase and Shreyas Iyer (26*) provided the final touches to seal the win. With the victory, Punjab Kings secured a top-two finish and made their place in Qualifier 1. This is the ninth victory for Punjab Kings in IPL 2025 and a sixth loss for Mumbai Indians this year.
