Jammu, May 27, 2025 (ANI): In a press briefing, BSF officials detailed a major counter-operation along the India-Pakistan border near Akhnoor.BSF DIG SS Mand said, "On 8th May 2025, our surveillance detected movement of 40-50 persons coming towards the border. We conducted pre-emptive strikes. Soon after, Pakistan started firing on BSF border outposts, to which we retaliated strongly. Inputs suggest many terrorists, their supporters, Rangers, and officers were harmed in our strike."IG BSF Jammu Shashank Anand added, "On 9th May, in areas near Akhnoor, Pakistan resorted to unprovoked firing. From 9th to 10th May, there was heavy firing along the Akhnoor border belt. As part of a planned effort, BSF targeted Pakistan's Looni terror launch pad."
