Vasco Da Gama (Goa), May 29 2025 (ANI): Defence Minister Rajnath Singh attends the event as the Indian Navy welcomed the triumphant crew of Navika Sagar Parikrama II on the successful completion of the circumnavigation of the Globe onboard the Indian Naval Sailing Vessel Tarini. Accomplishing this rare feat in double-handed mode, Lt Cdr Roopa A and Lt Cdr Dilna K arrived on the shores of Goa. This extraordinary sailing expedition was flagged off from Naval Ocean Sailing Node, Goa on 02 Oct 2024.
"These two daughters (Lt Cdr Roopa A and Lt Cdr Dilna K) have brought honor to the country in their own ways during Operation Sindoor...", says Defence Minister Rajnath Singh He said, "...Today the daughters of our country are fulfilling their responsibilities very well from the heights of Siachen to the depths of the sea... This month 17 girls have passed out from NDA (National Defense Academy). Women have had an active and effective participation in every part of the Indian Armed Forces.
