Tesla rival Li Auto plans to launch two new SUVs this year and may introduce its first sedan if market conditions allow, according to Benzinga. During its Q1 2025 earnings call, Li Auto shared details about the Li i8, its first all-electric SUV, and the smaller Li i6. The six-seat i8 will launch in July, followed by the five-seat i6 in August. Li Auto reported $3.6 billion in quarterly revenue, up 1.1% year-over-year, beating analyst expectations and boosting sales. Chinese EV makers are expanding globally, with BYD surpassing Tesla in European sales as it prepares to manufacture in the region. Tesla is preparing for its Robotaxi launch on June 12, as Musk ends ties with the Trump administration and DOGE.
