At 6.47am Police were called to the scene on Waddington Way in Parkgate, where a 54-year-old man was found unresponsive. Despite the best efforts of medical personnel, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police are investigating the matter and have arrested a 53-year-old on suspicion of murder.
