Rishikesh (Uttarakhand), June 1, 2025 (ANI): Hours after taking a dip in the Ganga river, Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on June 1 asserted that her government vowed to make Yamuna River as pure as Maa Ganga. She said "It is a feeling of immense joy and peace... With a firm goal, we have decided today that we all have to join hands to make the Yamuna river as pure and uninterrupted for Delhi as Maa Ganga is. Our goal is to make the Yamuna River so pure that people can bath in it just like thousands of people bath in the Ganga River... We will consider it a success only if we are able to do this... If we have got the opportunity to do this work, we will do it with complete honesty... Yamuna river will be able to improve only with the cooperation of the society..."
