Texas environmental group pushes back against SpaceX's new city
An organization that defends both environmental and Indigenous rights in southern Texas, where Elon Musk recently won an election to build "Starbase City," officially the state's newest municipality, is pushing back against SpaceX's mega projects mushrooming around Boca Chica, amid protected lands and animal sanctuaries. "We are one of the poorest communities in the country, we're low-income people of color communities, and we're dealing with the biggest bully on the planet, Elon Musk," says environmental rights advocate Bekah Hinojosa.
