The Selangor Aero Park (SAP) will complement Malaysia's aspirations to become a leading air cargo hub in the Asean region, says Transport Minister Anthony Loke.
Speaking after the groundbreaking ceremony on Thursday (June 5), Loke said SAP — a joint initiative between Malaysia Airports Holdings Bhd (MAHB) and Menteri Besar Selangor Incorporated (MBI) — will serve as a dedicated industrial zone for aerospace manufacturing and supply chain companies.
Selangor Mentri Besar Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari, also present at the event, announced that GE Aerospace will be SAP’s launch tenant, having secured 100 acres of land in the project’s first phase.
