DES: Ropar (Punjab), June 4, 2025 (ANI): Punjab Youtuber Jasbir Singh who was arrested on espionage charges was produced in Mohali Court on June 3, 2025. Jasbir Singh operates a YouTube channel called “Jaan Mahal”. He has been found associated with PIO Shakir alias Jutt Randhawa, part of a terror-backed espionage network. He also maintained close contact with Haryana-based YouTuber Jyoti Malhotra (arrested for spying) and Ehsan-ur-Rahim alias Danish, a Pakistani national and expelled Pak High Commission official."Jasbir Singh was arrested yesterday...court had sent him to 3-day Police remand. 7th June, he will produced in the court again. As per Police FIR, there are 3 allegations against him. One is that he gets foreign funding, second is he has link with ISI, third is that he has sensitive data with him...he used to appear before the State Special Operations Cell as a responsible citizen, whenever he was summoned. If he had any malicious intentions, he would have avoided it,” said Madhav Shukla, Jasbir’s lawyer. “We have submitted bank statements, financial data, and phone but State Special Operations Cell ignored all this. He was arrested and produced in court...Police have not come up on record with anything like who he was in touch with, his mode of communication and mode of money transfer...they just have a simple allegation that he has connection with ISI" he added.
