Kolkata June 08, 2025 (ANI): NCW member Archana Majumdar expressed outrage over an alleged audio clip involving TMC leader Anubrata Mandal, where a government official was verbally abused during a phone call, including derogatory remarks about his wife and mother. She condemned the incident, calling it shameful and indicative of the state of affairs in West Bengal. The NCW has written to the DGP, who confirmed that an inquiry is underway. On TMC Leader Anubrata Mandal, member of the NCW, Archana Majumdar said, "...We felt very bad after listening to the audio tapes. Unfortunately, an on-duty government official is being abused on a phone call in the name of his wife and mother. And he is not even able to hang up the call. Such a situation is happening in Bengal. A police officer is made to listen to such things about his wife and mother from leaders like Anubrata Mandal, and he cannot do anything. We are ashamed of this. We have written a letter to the DGP regarding this...He said that the inquiry is underway..."
