Meghalaya Murder Case: 3 arrested in joint operation, one absconding, informs Indore Additional DCP

Indore (Madhya Pradesh), June 9, 2025 (ANI): In a recent update in the Meghalaya Murder case, three people have been arrested in a 36-hour-long joint operation by the Shillong and Indore police. One suspect is absconding, and the other three have been handed over to the Shillong police.Sonam and Raja Raghuvanshi from Indore went missing during their honeymoon in Meghalaya. Later, Raja’s body was found, and Sonam remained missing. Now, Sonam has been recovered.Additional DCP, Crime Branch, Indore said, “Last night, Meghalaya police contacted senior officials in Indore police. The DCP Crime Branch started a joint operation with the Shillong police on the night of the 8th and 9th of June. Three people have been rounded up — one is Raj Khushwaha, a resident of Dhanbagh; the second is Vishal Chauhan, also a resident of Dhanbagh; and the third suspect is Akash Rajpoot. The fourth, Anand from Indore, is absconding. Shillong police are in Indore and all three suspects have been handed over to them.”
