'Strawberry Moon' rises behind ancient Greek temple
A ‘strawberry’ full moon rose behind the ancient temple of Poseidon on the coast of Greece on June 11.
A full moon is typically known as the ‘Strawberry Moon’ in the month of June when the berries are ripe for harvest.
The ancient temple, built in the 5th century B.C., and located on a cliff overlooking the sea on Cape Sounion, is a popular site for tourists and moon watchers.
