Taiwan’s trade authorities have made the latest changes on tech export controls to "combat arms proliferation and address other national security concerns" against Chinese tech giants. Local firms will now need government approval to export any products to Huawei, SMIC and several of their subsidiaries listed on the strategic high-tech commodities entity list.
