India Census 2027 - The Government of India has officially announced the 16th Census, to be conducted in two phases on October 1, 2026, and March 1, 2027. This will be India’s first fully digital Census, featuring mobile app based data collection and a self enumeration option for households.

Reference dates: Oct 1, 2026 (snow-bound areas) and Mar 1, 2027 (rest of India)
