Description: Pune (Maharashtra): Mos Civil Aviation Murlidhar Mohol informed that a high level committee has been constituted to investigate the Ahmedabad plane crash tragedy. He further said that “no of body parts were more than people on the crash site”, which lead to delays in the identification process. “The Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau (AAIB) is investigating the case. A high-level committee has been constituted...We have found various body parts at the crash site. The number of body parts found at the crash site is more than the number of people; that's why it is difficult to identify the person. So, we are taking the DNA samples. Reports of DNA tests come after 36 hours. That's why it is taking so much time. We are following the protocol so that the family members receive the correct mortal remains. Out of 280 people whose DNA samples were taken, around 70-80 people received the mortal remains of their relatives (died in the crash).Right now, the black box is in the custody of AAIB”, he said in a statement.
