New Delhi, June 17, 2025 (ANI): On Google unveiling a Safety Charter for India’s AI-led transformation, Vice President of Engineering, Google Security, Heather Adkins said, "The Safety Charter for India is really a blueprint for a comprehensive approach to online safety—addressing some of the unique challenges. We want to ensure we can protect users from online fraud and scams. We aim to provide cybersecurity support to the government and enterprise organisations. And, we want to build AI responsibly by integrating better defence mechanisms using automation... We want to ensure that young people have access to the tools they’ll need later in life. But we also recognise that people under 18 must have safe online experiences. With our products, we build constraints—for example, YouTube Kids is one such product that offers a safer experience. This is just one example of the kinds of experiences we aim to create to ensure online safety."
