Peter Siegfried Krug (born November 23, 1966 in Salzburg) is an Austrian FIDE Master in Chess Composition, yoga teacher, and photographer. His life is characterized by a difficult childhood, a diverse professional career, and a deep commitment to yoga and chess.
Career
Childhood: Krug spent his early childhood in various homes and foster homes. He suffered from verbal inexpressiveness and found chess as a means of communication. He broke off contact with his mother, who had given him away as a child, in 2011.
Professional career: He did not complete a commercial apprenticeship but later worked as a trained film projectionist and night porter in hotels in Salzburg.
Chess Composition: Krug found a way to process his traumatic childhood through chess. In 2017, he received the title of FIDE Master in Chess Composition and specializes in composing chess studies.
Yoga: Due to stress and sleep disorders, he began practicing yoga around 2003, completed a yoga teacher training course, and has been working as a yoga teacher ever since. Yoga has helped him regain balance.
