Anantnag (J&K), June 20, 2025 (ANI): A mock drill was conducted in Pahalgam to test disaster and accident response systems on June 19 before the Amarnath Yatra, which is starting from July 03. Teams from the SDRF and NDRF participated in the exercise. The administration appears more vigilant than ever to ensure smooth conduct of the pilgrimage and handle any emergencies efficiently. As part of the preparations for the Amarnath Yatra, a mock drill was conducted in Pahalgam on Thursday, with the aim of testing the arrangements for dealing with disasters and accidents. SDRF and NDRF participated in the mock drill. The Yatra begins from July 3 and the administration is looking more alert than ever to ensure the safety of the pilgrims and deal with any calamity.
