Hospital Pasir Gudang (HPG) will officially begin operations on August 1, Health Minister Datuk Seri Dr Dzulkefly Ahmad announced.
Speaking at the project handover ceremony from the Public Works Department (JKR) to the Health Ministry at HPG in Bandar Seri Alam, Pasir Gudang on Sunday (June 29), Dzulkefly said the RM500mil public hospital will open in phases, starting with 30% of its total capacity.
He added that HPG is the first public healthcare facility in Malaysia to feature 20 on-call suites for doctors — a move aimed at improving their welfare and morale.
