Petro Gazz recovers from loss
BATANGAS CITY -- Petro Gazz bounced back from its 5-set loss to Nxled after sweeping Galeries Tower, 25-23, 25-21, 26-24, in the 2025 PVL preseason tournament at the Batangas City Sports Center Sunday, June 29.
Down by three at 20-23 in the third frame, the Angels went on a 6-1 run capped by a Nicole Tiamzon attack to finish off the gutsy Highrisers.
Myla Pablo hammered 14 points while Jonah Sabete and Joy Dacoron added 10 apiece for Petro Gazz, stepping up in the absence of Brooke Van Sickle and MJ Phillips.
Djanel Cheng tossed 16 excellent sets for Petro Gazz which improved to 1-1 in the preseason and dealt Galeries to its second loss in as many games.
