President Trump lashed out at Elon Musk on Sunday over his formation of the “America Party,” calling the third-party move a “Train Wreck” that would cause disruption and chaos. Writing on Truth Social, Trump stated that the system isn’t built for third parties and emphasized recent Republican successes, including a bill that ends the Electric Vehicle Mandate. Trump noted that Musk endorsed him despite his opposition to the EV Mandate and criticized Musk’s suggestion of appointing a Democrat friend to a NASA role. Trump added that his top priority is protecting the public. Musk announced the new party after opposing Trump’s “Big, Beautiful Bill,” with 80% of poll respondents backing the idea. The Libertarian Party had also encouraged him to join, rather than launching a new party.
