Israel launched a series of airstrikes on Damascus on Wednesday (July 16), targeting a section of Syria’s Defence Ministry and areas near the presidential palace.
The strikes followed the deployment of Syrian government forces to the southern city of Sweida, where their presence triggered clashes with Druze fighters who had previously held control of the area.
