Smoke rises from California's Pickett Fire
Large plumes of smoke are seen rising from the Pickett Fire in California on Aug. 22, 2025 as firefighters battle to contain it. The California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection (Cal Fire) said the blaze in the popular wine region of Napa County had grown to over 3,200 acres, of which 7 percent was contained. The cause of the fire is still under investigation, local media reported.
