Quick morning lap on Happy Face and Woodsplitter out of the Sawtooth trailhead in Truckee. These are fun, flowy trails with some mellow jumps — I was working on new techniques, so the jumping wasn’t perfect, but cornering felt solid. Nick and I have done a bunch of rides together, and this ended up being his last one before his kid Max was born early the next morning.
Wrapped things up with a swim at Martis Lake for Eloise. Not a bad way to spend the 4th đź—˝
