Samurai (The Web) - Samurai 1971 (UK, Progressive / Jazz Rock)

In 1971, the British group "Web" changed its name to "Samurai" and recorded another album . The dominant role belongs keyboardist and singer Dave Lawson - author and arranger of all seven songs in the album . The main material is made in the style of heavy progressive . Arched brass instruments (hence the project involves two guest musicians : Tony Roberts - saxophones , flute , clarinet and Don Fay - saxophones, flute), threads acquire slightly jazzy . The main "trick " is to use the vibraphone (Lennie Wright), skillfully integrated into the general background music. It remains to add that in the future talent Lawson has found application in a number of projects, including "Greenslade", "Stackridge", "Foreigner", Mike Oldfield, Roy Harper and others.
