Havana's first vintage car competition shows classics remain alive in Cuba
Havana turned back time on August 30 during the first vintage car competition held in the Cuban capital city that paid tribute to the efforts of classic vehicle owners to preserve what has become an iconic part of the island.
The “Elegance Competition of Cuba,” as the contest was named, brought together automotive relics in Havana, where owners exchanged experiences.
Vintage cars competed in different categories — including Classic Soviet, Classic Europe and Classic American — and four special awards were on offer: Most Elegant, Best Integral Restoration, Cuban Automotive Spirit and the public’s award.
