The donkey, brimming with social energy, marched up with tail-high enthusiasm, ready to become best pals instantly.
But the mare had her own thoughts and stepped back, a little unsure about this new bundle of energy.
While one side was all in for high-fives and hay-sharing, the other preferred some hooves-off space.
