In the aftermath of two devastating earthquakes in eastern Afghanistan, thousands of survivors are refusing to return to their mountain villages — not because of the destruction, but because of the danger that still lurks above them. Massive rocks hang precariously, ready to fall with the next aftershock or even a simple rain.
Families now live in makeshift camps along riverbanks and roadsides, many without tents or food. In this emotional short documentary, we meet survivors like Adam Khan, a 67-year-old farmer with no shelter… and 12-year-old Sadiq, who was buried for 11 hours under rubble that killed his grandmother and cousin.
This is not just a story about destruction — it’s about fear, survival, and resilience in one of the world’s poorest, most quake-prone countries.
