GIANT MUSSEL LATCHES ONTO HERON

Check out this video of an exhausted heron who swam right up to a boat in need of help.
Susan Wicks from Mastic, New York, USA, soon realized why - there was a giant ribbed mussel had clamped onto the bird’s foot, leaving it weak and struggling.
Acting quickly, Tyler carefully removed the mussel without causing further harm and placed the heron on a small oyster cage to rest.
The group fed the bird a fresh spread of fish, crabs, and oysters, along with clean water. Within 45 minutes, the heron dried its wings, regained its strength, and took off into the tall trees.
