Quintus Project - Moments 1987 (Germany, Krautrock, Smooth Jazz)
The Quintus Project released a vinyl LP album titled "Moments" in 1987 on the NGM label. The album was a limited release of only 300 copies and featured tracks like "Night Flight," "Dawn," and "Prélude". The album was later reissued and brought to a wider audience through remixes of the track "Night Flight" by labels like Derwin Records. Some of it's naff, but Night - Flight is a stone cold classic. It's pretty much perfect. Joachim Kühn on piano is a highlight for the beardos. Is there anything else on this album worth re-playing? El Dorado. Flamenco guitar, rock guitar, Skatt Bros.-esque bass guitar line and accordion. Dunno what they were on, but it must have been pretty good. Guilty pleasure. Otherwise, it took me ages to find a copy. I hoped for more... but when Quintus and co gave us perfection with Night - Flight, it's pretty rough to sit back and ask for anything else.
