Canada downs Libya in four sets in FIVB men's volleyball
World no. 11 Canada hurdles a tough test from no. 75 Libya, 22-25, 25-20, 25-12, 29-27, to start its campaign at the FIVB Men's Volleyball World Championships at the Araneta Coliseum on Saturday, Sept. 13, 2025. Fynn MaCarthy, who scored 12 points, talked about how the Canadians overcame a rather sluggish start in the first set, fending off the Libyans in the fourth frame. McCarthy also touched on their return to the Philippines. Canada will next face crowd favorite Japan on Sept. 15.
