The transformation of the Civil Aviation Authority of Malaysia (CAAM) comes at a crucial time in aviation growth involving drone use, says Transport Minister Anthony Loke.
Speaking at the unveiling of CAAM’s new logo on Wednesday (Sept 17) and its merger with the Malaysian Aviation Commission (Mavcom), Loke said his ministry is considering whether to develop a pre-emptive regulatory framework for the low-altitude economy, which includes emerging technologies like the use of drones for deliveries.
