The excuses given by bus passengers for not wearing seatbelts range from "I forgot" to "It's just a habit of mine not to wear one," says the Road Transport Department (JPJ).
During a special enforcement operation by the Kuala Lumpur JPJ codenamed "Ops Khas Gempur Kenderaan Perdagangan" on Thursday (Sept 18), Kuala Lumpur JPJ director Hamidi Adam said four bus passengers were fined RM300 each during a JPJ enforcement operation at the Sungai Besi Toll Plaza for not wearing seatbelts.
