Senedd Member for Carmarthen West and South Pembrokeshire, Samuel Kurtz has once again called for support to save Manorbier School - which is threatened with complete closure after a fire three years ago - stating that teachers, staff, pupils and parents have been “let down really badly by Pembrokeshire County Council.”
Sharing a post on social media, Mr Kurtz remarked: “Next month marks 3 years since Manorbier School suffered a fire, with all teaching moved to Jameston Community Hall on a ‘short term basis’.
“There were promises by the Council to rebuild the school, but those have fallen through.
“Now the threat of complete closure hangs over this school, despite the excellent work of staff, the caring nature of the school and the happiness of the children. I believe the school have been treated unfairly,” he added, urging people to sign a petition launched to save the school.
