Super Typhoon Nando (international name: Ragasa) slightly weakened on Monday evening, Sept. 22, as it moved away from the Babuyan Islands, said the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA).
As of 10 p.m., the eye of Nando was estimated at 145 kilometers west-northwest of Calayan, Cagayan.
It had maximum sustained winds of 205 kilometers per hour (kph) near the center and gusts of up to 285 kph. It was moving west at 20 kph.
