Sheila's father who is a ventriloquist is missing. Not only is he missing but so are a fortune in jewels. There are more than one suspect in this tale of intrigued and who done do it (yeah, I said done do it. men pull up your high waisted pants and women put on your ankle strapped pumps). Staring in this mystery we have...the wonderful Ralph Bellamy as Ellery Queen, Margaret Lindsay as Nikki, Charley Grapewin as Inspector Queen, Ann Doran as Sheila, Noel Madison as Gordon (Sheila's father), the one and only Anna May Wong as Lois Ling, James Burke as Sergeant Velie, Eduardo Ciannelli as Count Brett, Frank Albertson as Sanders, Charles Lane as Doc Prouty, Mantan Moreland as Roy and a few more.
