Various groups are participating in the call for a March for Diversity in Uruguay, which will take place in Montevideo and other locations in this South American country. This will be the 20th edition of this event, a period in which social, political, and regulatory advances benefiting the LGBTIQ+ community have materialized, including the approval of equal marriage in 2013 and the Comprehensive Law for Trans People in 2018. According to the organizers, protesters will express solidarity with the Palestinian people. In addition, a health zone was set up where advice on the prevention of sexually transmitted infections, rapid syphilis and HIV tests, as well as vaccinations against various diseases were offered.
