Girl Scout cookies, an enduring US snack favorite, get new ice cream-inspired variety
A new ice cream-inspired Girl Scout cookie will be part of the upcoming lineup of treats sold door-to-door and at storefront 'cookie booths' by US Girl Scouts to raise money for their troops. Exploremores, a sandwich cookie based on rocky road ice cream, will take its place alongside widely popular classic varieties like Thin Mints, Samoas and Tagalongs in the 2026 cookie season. Girl Scouts have been selling cookies to help finance troop activities since 1917, five years after Juliette Gordon Low started Girl Scouts in the US, according to the organization's website.
