UST trumps La Salle to end 16-game skid in UAAP men's basketball
Collins Akowe dominates anew as University of Santo Tomas ends its 16-game skid against De La Salle, 93-84, in the UAAP Season 88 men's basketball tournament at the Smart Araneta Coliseum on Sept. 27, 2025. Akowe scored 20 points and 19 rebounds for the Growling Tigers, who defeated the Green Archers for the first time in 10 years or since Season 78 in October 2015 to rise to 2-0 in the current season. UST joined Ateneo and NU atop the team standings.
