Trump’s Gaza Peace Deal SHOCKS the World
US President Donald Trump has announced a new peace plan for Gaza, which has been welcomed by several European and Middle Eastern countries.
According to the plan, fighting will stop immediately. Hamas will release 20 Israeli hostages along with the remains of those believed to have been killed, while Israel will free hundreds of Palestinian prisoners.
The plan also states that Hamas will have no role in governing Gaza. Instead, a non-political Palestinian committee will take temporary control. The US and its allies will oversee the process and launch an economic program for Gaza’s reconstruction.
Trump called it a “historic day,” while Netanyahu warned that if Hamas refuses the deal, Israel will carry out its military operations to completion. The Palestinian Authority and several Arab states have also backed the peace plan, expressing hope for a two-state solution.
