A Belmont mother is grateful that her eight year old daughter is alive and well, thanks to a civilian and a police officer.
The child was rescued on Sunday, after falling into a drain close to her home and being washed away into the East Dry River.
TV6 News visited the home of the family today and spoke to the mother.
