Watch this remarkable moment captured on camera in a back garden, revealing the unusual mating behaviour of Dunnocks.
Katie Barnes, from Bristol, UK filmed a male Dunnock prompting the female to expel any sperm from previous mates.
Posted on Instagram, the video gathered more than 2.9 million views. Nature lovers have been captivated by the video, stunned by one of Britain’s most overlooked songbirds.
